Create a High-Speed RAM Disk on Windows

GiliSoft RAM Disk allocates part of the computer's physical memory and presents it to Windows with a normal drive letter. Browsers, development tools, media applications, and other software can then use that drive for cache, scratch data, temporary files, and repeated working output.

Create an empty disk when its contents can be discarded, or connect the RAM drive to an image file when selected data needs to be loaded again. Automatic loading and saving options help match the disk to the way the files are actually used.

A RAM disk complements an SSD or hard drive; it does not replace permanent storage. Keep important originals on normal storage and allocate only memory that Windows and active applications do not need.
